Location: Sarawak is the largest state of Malaysia, occupying the northwestern coast of Borneo — the world’s third-largest island. It borders Sabah (Malaysian Borneo) to the northeast, Indonesian Kalimantan to the south, and Brunei to the north. Total area: 124,450 km² (slightly larger than England).

• By Air: Kuching International Airport (KCH) — main gateway with direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Jakarta, Bandar Seri Begawan, and limited direct connections from China and Australia. Miri Airport (MYY) for Mulu and northern access.
• By Road: Connected to Sabah via the Trans-Borneo Highway; border crossings to Indonesian Kalimantan at Tebedu-Entikong and Lubok Antu-Nanga Badau.
• By River: The Batang Rejang (Rejang River) remains a vital transport artery for interior communities; express boats connect Sibu to Kapit and Belaga.
